Peter graduated from Massey University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree. He began his career in mixed practice (pets and farm animals) in the Waikato, then spent 16 years working in small animal practice in the United Kingdom. Peter joined Rappaw in 2003 after returning home to New Zealand with his family, and has been part of the team for over 20 years. He has a keen interest in both the medical and surgical aspects of veterinary medicine.

Outside of work, Peter enjoys skiing, biking, and making the most of New Zealand’s great outdoors. He’s also kept on his toes by a very large and demanding part-Maine Coon cat!
